Previously known as Flinders Bikes and Bytes, Quorn cafe has re-opened with a face lift and new menu. Run by Toni and Aliah Bauer, our barista Sharon and chief of maintenance, the man himself Karl Crombie.
Our emphasis is on good quality food at an affordable price. We source our produce from Local farmers, and back yard gardeners. Eventually we will run purely on South Australian and Australian produce. We believe in clean food, therefore we use organic produce where we can, from the sprout in your salad, to the sugar on your table all the way to the flour in your cake. We provide gluten free products, and can cater to your needs. We also steer clear of GM products (genetically modified foods) and in time we will offer information on GM products, how common they are & how they impact all of us.
Home-Made is not just what we do, it’s who we are ;)
Everything is made in our Quorn Café (QC) kitchen from your Tomato and BBQ sauces, your banana, carrot and fruit cakes, and whatever else we may decide to make or bake. As we progress we will also have our own pesto, chutney and jams. So if it’s on your plate it’s what we make.
Coffee IS important to all who work here at QC, & we appreciate a good coffee, so we are researching and sampling coffee from all over Australia. We have good coffee now, but it can only get better, especially if it is Australian and clean grown. Blind tastings are available for all sceptical generic brand lovers.
Various teas & Chai Tea is currently being sourced in Adelaide and hopefully we will have the proper chai tea by next week, not the generic in the tin type we currently, and every other café has.
Our menu will change near every day, we bake daily, and there are always new things to try, whether it is Breakfast, Lunch, Morning or Afternoon tea.
Breakfast & Lunch is available ALL day, and we are soon to be open for dinner & takeaway. We are also working on some form of licencing. But not all at once, let’s enjoy the day shift. At least, for the first week….
